"Let's Start Running!" Beginner Program (Free)

Thursday - 6:00pm

**Modified beginners' run group happening now!! Next official 8-week program will begin Monday, September 13th**

Come and join us for our hugely successful and very popular beginners' run club. It happens every Thursday at 6:00pm and will run for eight weeks. It begins with a walk and run mix (walk one minute, "run" one minute and so on, back and forth) and then as the weeks progress, the "run" interval gets longer and the walk stays at one minute. It allows for a safe and easy build up, and by the end of the program, any committed member should be able to run continuously for five kilometres. There is no cost to take part - except the willingness to put in the time and effort to improve. No need to sign up or anything; just show up and sign a waiver for us on the first night out and be ready to run. We'll look forward to seeing you out!!

Fun Run Group (Free)

Monday & Thursday - 6:00pm

Graduate from our "Learn to Run" group and join our Fun Run Group or just get a few easy, relaxing miles under your feet! Led by an energetic group of volunteers and the staff at Runners' Choice, the Fun Run distances vary from about 5 to 10km, followed by a good stretching session, and plenty of laughs!

Wednesday Night Run with Steve (Free)

Wednesday - 6:30pm

This run is for people who would like a mid-week distance run to complement their training, but runner's of all abilities are welcome to come out. If you are new to the group, Steve will run with you to familiarize you with the routes. The run is a tempo run of various distances: 8km, 10km, 13km, or 17km. Summer routes include Laurel Conservation (out and back) , and Hillside Park to Bechtel Park and back. For the winter months they run through the University campus and on to Keats Way where there are numerous cut-off points. While this run is a tempo run, all are welcome. You will always have someone to run with.

Saturday Mornings with Ron (Free)

Saturday - **8:30am** July 31st

Since some of us are going to be away this week-end (Finger Lakes here I come) I thought I might set up a friendly easy route.

Where: meet at Rim Park inside main doors at 8:30 There is a lovely paved trail between golf course and river.

If you wish to stick to trail it is an easy out and back. If you wish you can follow road back at the end of the trail

Marathon Training Group / Sunday Morning Long Run

TNT - Tuesday Night Trail Run (Free)

The parking lot at Sir John A. Macdonald High School on Erbsville Road is the place to be at 6:00pm on Tuesday nights! Come join a fun group of off-roaders if you want a great evening of trail running in the Columbia Forest. Aside from fun and camaraderie, the trail runs provide incredible hill workouts and a welcome respite from the high temperatures, humidity, and smog that we slug through during summer, as well as excellent training for the Run for the Toad trail race in September. New runners are always welcome, but expect tricky footing and a fast-pace run!!
