NEXT SESSION JAN.9th 2012
Come and join us for our hugely successful and very popular beginners' run club. It happens every Monday and Thursday at 6:00pm and will run for eleven weeks. It begins with a walk and run mix and allows for a safe and easy build up. By the end of the program, any committed member should be able to run continuously for five kilometres. There is no cost to take part - except the willingness to put in the time and effort to improve. Give us a call or send us an e-mail to get on the list, or just show up and sign a waiver for us on the first night out and be ready to run. We'll look forward to seeing you out!!
Graduate from our "Learn to Run" group and join our Fun Run Group or just get a few easy, relaxing miles under your feet! Led by an energetic group of volunteers and the staff at Runners' Choice, the Fun Run distances vary from about 5 to 10km, followed by a good stretching session, and plenty of laughs!
This run is for people who would like a mid-week distance run to complement their training, but runner's of all abilities are welcome to come out. If you are new to the group, Steve will run with you to familiarize you with the routes. The run is a tempo run of various distances: 8km, 10km, 13km, or 17km. Summer routes include Laurel Conservation (out and back) , and Hillside Park to Bechtel Park and back. For the winter months they run through the University campus and on to Keats Way where there are numerous cut-off points. While this run is a tempo run, all are welcome. You will always have someone to run with.

Train for an upcoming Half or Full Marathon with Runners' Choice! Included is personalized training from our favourite coach Michele Craddock, a training plan and package, 10% off everything in the store and a $25 gift certificate, and training sessions on Thursday and Sunday. The cost for this one is $59.95+Taxes. Thursday nights see a speed interval/hill workout led by the coaches and then everyone goes out for their long runs on Sunday mornings; the package has a plan to follow for the rest of the week.

The parking lot at Sir John A. Macdonald High School on Erbsville Road is the place to be at 6:00pm on Tuesday nights! Come join a fun group of off-roaders if you want a great evening of trail running in the Columbia Forest. Aside from fun and camaraderie, the trail runs provide incredible hill workouts and a welcome respite from the high temperatures, humidity, and smog that we slug through during summer, as well as excellent training for the Run for the Toad trail race in September. New runners are always welcome, but expect tricky footing and a fast-pace run!!
This is for the runner looking to shave some seconds or minutes off their PB. This is a high intensity run group focused on time and distance intervals designed to get your fastwitch muscles firing. Led by speed demons Sean and Gillian. Come out for this one, we promise you won't regret it!
This is an intense speed/interval workout that guarantee to both make you double over with fatigue AND make you faster. Under the encouraging guidance of Rebecca Blackburn and Steve Thomas you are promised a good ole fashioned butt kickin'! Check back every week for the location that the group will meet at!!
