There's been a lot of talk and speculation about the plan to have our little plaza torn down and rebuilt with a luxury-condo high-rise on top. The developer's requests have been approved by the city, and it looks like things are going to move forward. What does that mean for us here at the shop? Well, everyone in our strip is going to be forced to relocate at least temporarily some time this spring or summer (depending on how quick things start happening). Some have read this to mean that we might be closing - that is certainly not the case... Although it has not yet been finalized, we are looking at moving into the plaza just behind us (the one with Quick Sandwich and the new Mountaintop Nutrition store) into the space where the Planet Beach tanning salon used to be. It's actually close enough that we'll be able to remain open WHILE we're moving... and to be honest... it has more accessible and available parking than the lot we've got behind us now. It's as-of-yet unclear as to whether we'll be moving back into this building once it is reconstructed or if the new locale will be our stationary spot; we did just move in here about five years ago, so a third move in six years doesn't sound all that appealing, you know? Anyhoo - that's as much as we know right now, and just thought it'd be a good idea to keep our little community up to date on the goings-on. We'll certainly post updates as we learn more!!
