If you’re looking for a little variety to spice up your run schedule or already enjoy tackling some of the off-road paths, y’oughtter come out to one of our Tuesday night trail runs. This ever-popular and consistently growing run group meets in the parking lot behind Sir John A. Macdonald High School and enjoys a decently paced run on the rather technical trails through the woods in that area. Warning: this is not for the beginner runner. It’s recommended that you have a good base running fitness first – this is a different animal than a road run. The paths are fairly uneven in terms of both footing and elevation… which is, of course, part of the fun!! One must be constantly paying attention, and the run is usually over before you know it. Many of our runners will use this group to prepare for the fantastic local trail race, the “Run for the Toad” which is happening October 2nd
at Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area.
